What is the difference between Christianity and Religion?
Christianity not Religion

CHRISTIANITY VS RELIGION:

"For it is by God's grace that you have been saved, through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God's GIFT, so that no one can boast about it." (Ephesians 2: 8-9)
Christianity is unique in the fact that it is the ONLY faith which is not a religion- as 'religion'- by definition means "to be bound" by rules and regulations and rituals in order that one MAY achieve salvation. (Whatever their definition of salvation may be).
Christianity is not a religion or a philosophy, but a relationship and a lifestyle.
The heart of the Christian faith is about having a personal relationship with God. Christianity is about really KNOWING and having a relationship with God on a daily basis. This means you can be in the presence of God at anytime, talk to Him just like you would a friend, not by hearing about Him.
This is through our own personal relationship with God, praying to God, reading and studying the Holy Bible that we know He exists, and that He is at work in our lives each and every day.
Religion says you have to perform (to do things to get to God). Christianity says Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to God. (John 14:6) Know Jesus and you will know God.
Religion is about traditions and repetition. Christianity is about sincerity and freedom. Religion is focused on many idols and worshipping people like the Apostles, Mary, and even the Saints. Christianity is focused on only God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
